A town built in one decade replaces its roofs in one decade
In 1990 Corinth had fewer than 4,000 residents. By 2000 it had more than 11,000, and it kept growing through the 2000s as subdivisions filled in along I-35E between Denton and Lake Dallas. A large share of the houses in town were built within a few years of each other, often by the same builders using the same materials.
That means a large share of the original roofs are the same age. Builder-grade shingles from the 1990s and early 2000s were often three-tab or entry-level architectural lines, and most of them are now past the age they were designed for. Many have also been through several hail seasons. When one house on a street needs a new roof, the neighbors are often not far behind.
Same Standard Everywhere
Hail crosses this part of North Texas most springs, and the damage is easier to see from the roof than from the lawn.
Older production roofs have predictable weak points
On Corinth homes of that era, the failures tend to repeat: pipe boots cracked by years of sun, ridge vents and box vents dented or rusted, flashing at second-story walls that was sealed rather than stepped, and decking that has taken on water around a long-ignored leak. A tear-off to the decking is the only way to see and fix the last of those properly.
Where a roof still has life left, the same components are the usual repair list. Replacing boots and vents and resetting flashing can buy several years on a roof that is otherwise holding up.
The storm path runs straight through
Hail that tracks along the I-35E corridor tends to hit Corinth, Lake Dallas and southern Denton within minutes of each other. After a spring storm, dented gutters and vent caps on one side of town are a good reason to have a roof on the other side checked too.

FAQs
Roofing contractor in Corinth, answered
My Corinth home still has its original roof. Should I replace it?
If the house was built in the 1990s or early 2000s, the original roof is likely near or past the end of its expected life. Have it inspected to see how much it has left before a leak decides for you.
Does my HOA need to approve a new roof?
Many Corinth subdivisions have HOAs with architectural rules on shingle color and style. Check your deed restrictions and submit any required request before work is scheduled.
Do you offer free inspections in Corinth?
Yes. We are based in Corinth, and inspections and estimates are free.
